Your data, your trust - we take both seriously

Last Updated: November 5, 2025

Look, we're straight shooters here at Krython Bastion. This isn't some corporate mumbo-jumbo - it's how we actually handle your info when you train with us or browse our site.

When you sign up or reach out to us, we're gonna need some basics:

  • Personal details: Your name, email, phone number - standard stuff so we can actually contact you about your training sessions
  • Health info: Any injuries, limitations, or medical conditions that'll affect how we train you. Safety first, always.
  • Payment data: Credit card or banking details to process your membership and training fees
  • Performance metrics: If you're cool with it, we'll track your progress - weights lifted, times, measurements. It's all about seeing those gains.
  • Website stuff: IP address, browser type, pages you visit - typical web analytics to make our site better

We don't collect anything we don't need. That's not our style.

Here's where your info goes:

  • Running your membership: Scheduling sessions, processing payments, sending you reminders about classes
  • Customizing your training: Building programs that actually work for YOUR body and goals
  • Keeping you safe: Making sure we know about any health concerns before you start throwing weight around
  • Communication: Updates about schedule changes, new programs, or facility closures (hopefully rare)
  • Improving our services: Figuring out what's working and what needs tweaking based on feedback and usage
  • Legal compliance: Following Canadian privacy laws and keeping proper records

We're not selling your data to some random marketing company. That's not how we roll.

Security's kinda like training - you gotta be consistent and smart about it.

  • Encryption: Your payment info and sensitive data gets encrypted. Think of it as a digital lock box.
  • Limited access: Only staff who need your info to do their job can see it. Not everyone gets the keys.
  • Secure storage: Digital files are on protected servers, physical documents are locked up
  • Regular updates: We keep our systems current with the latest security patches
  • Staff training: Everyone on our team knows how to handle your info properly

No system's perfect, but we're doing everything we can to keep your stuff secure.

We keep things pretty tight, but there are a few situations where we might share your data:

  • Payment processors: Gotta use third-party services to handle credit card transactions securely
  • Email services: We use email platforms to send you updates and communications
  • Emergency contacts: If something goes wrong during training, we'll contact whoever you listed
  • Legal requirements: If the law requires it or there's a court order, we have to comply
  • Medical professionals: Only with your permission and only if there's a health concern

That's it. We're not handing your info to marketers, data brokers, or anyone else.

Yeah, we use cookies - but not the protein kind.

Our website uses small data files (cookies) to:

  • Remember your preferences and login info
  • Understand how people use our site so we can make it better
  • Track basic analytics like page views and visit duration

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features might not work as smoothly. Most browsers let you control this stuff pretty easily.

We're not using cookies to stalk you around the internet. Just trying to run a functional website.

It's your data, so you've got options:

  • Access: You can request to see what info we have on you
  • Corrections: If something's wrong, let us know and we'll fix it
  • Deletion: Want us to delete your data? We'll do it (unless we legally have to keep it)
  • Opt-out: Don't wanna get promotional emails? Unsubscribe anytime. Training-related stuff you'll still get though.
  • Data portability: You can request a copy of your data in a usable format
  • Withdraw consent: Changed your mind about something? You can usually withdraw permission

To exercise any of these rights, just shoot us an email at info@krythonbastion.info or give us a call.

We don't hoard data forever. Here's the general timeline:

  • Active members: We keep your info as long as you're training with us, plus a reasonable period after
  • Financial records: Canadian tax law requires we keep payment records for 7 years
  • Health information: We hold onto this for safety and liability reasons, typically 7 years after your last visit
  • Marketing contacts: Until you unsubscribe or we clean out inactive contacts
  • Website analytics: Usually aggregated and kept for a couple years to track trends

Once we don't need it anymore, we securely delete or destroy it.

Real talk about cameras and content:

  • Security cameras: We've got them for safety. Footage is kept for a limited time and only viewed if needed.
  • Training videos: Your coach might film your form to help with technique. These are for your eyes only unless you say otherwise.
  • Social media content: Sometimes we shoot photos or videos for Instagram, Facebook, etc. We'll ALWAYS ask first before posting anything with you in it.
  • Testimonials: If you give us feedback we wanna share, we'll get your written permission before using your name or image

Bottom line: we're not posting your sweaty gym selfie without asking. That'd be weird.

If you're under 18 (or 19 in BC - the age of majority here), we need a parent or guardian's consent before collecting any personal info.

For youth training programs:

  • Parents/guardians handle all paperwork and waivers
  • We collect the same health and safety info, but it goes through the adult
  • Progress tracking and communication primarily goes to the parent/guardian
  • Any marketing or promotional materials require parental consent

We take extra care with younger members. Their safety and privacy are top priority.

Look, things change. Laws get updated, technology evolves, we might add new services.

If we make significant changes to this privacy policy:

  • We'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top
  • We'll send you an email if it's a major change that affects how we use your data
  • We might post a notice on our website or at the gym

It's worth checking back here occasionally. We promise to keep it readable and not full of legal jargon.

Got questions about how we handle your info? Concerned about something? Just wanna chat about it?

We'll get back to you within a couple business days. Usually faster, honestly.

You can also file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you think we've mishandled your personal info, but we'd appreciate the chance to make it right first.

The Real Deal

This policy's written in plain language because we respect your time. We're not trying to hide anything in complicated legal speak. Your trust matters to us - it's as important as proper form on a deadlift. If something here doesn't make sense or you've got concerns, don't hesitate to ask. We're here to help you get stronger, not to play games with your personal information.

Privacy and Security
Your Data Matters

We treat your personal information with the same respect we'd want for our own. No shortcuts, no shady practices.
